Great Western Railway will be running a special one off train – ‘The Grecians’ Express’, for Exeter City fans travelling to Wembley for the League 2 Play-Off Final on Sunday 28 May. This train is in addition to Great Western Railway’s normal train service from Exeter St Davids to London Paddington and means there will be three direct trains to the capital, which will give fans plenty of time to get to the stadium before the 3pm kick off.

Great Western Railway (GWR) will be introducing a new, later Sunday train for the Summer on the Plymouth to Gunnislake Tamar Valley Line on Sunday 21 May. The train will leave Plymouth at 2001, arriving at Gunnislake at 2047. The return service will leave Gunnislake at 2050 and arrive at Plymouth at 2135.

Great Western Railway (GWR) will introduce an improved timetable on the Truro to Falmouth Maritime Line from Sunday 21 May. On Mondays to Fridays, the last train on the line will run more than half an hour later. A memorial plaque commemorating Penguin Books founder Sir Allen Lane has been unveiled today at Exeter St David’s railway station. The orange plaque, commissioned by Sir Allen Lane’s daughter Clare Morpurgo and designed by Penguin Random House, recognises Sir Allen’s contribution to British publishing and commemorates the location where he conceived the iconic sixpenny paperback.

Following emergency engineering work between 1215 and 1330 services through Bath Spa are returning to normal.
