Rail Minister, Wendy Morton MP has today awarded Great Western Railway (GWR) Safeguarding on Rail Scheme Accreditation. The accreditation, which is from the British Transport Police and the Department for Transport, is the first to be awarded to a UK train operator. The Safeguarding on Rail Scheme initiative became a committed obligation for all operators in 2019.
