Half hourly Paignton services to be restored
First Great Western are pleased to announce that starting on Monday we will be able to return to two trains an hour between Paignton and Newton Abbot between 0600 and 2000 on weekdays.
First Great Western are pleased to announce that starting on Monday we will be able to return to two trains an hour between Paignton and Newton Abbot between 0600 and 2000 on weekdays.
This will be in both directions and all services will call at Paignton, Torquay, Torre and Newton Abbot. Typically departures from Paignton will be at XX12 and XX35, with departures from Newton Abbot at XX00 and XX40. There will be some variations but this will be the general pattern.

"I am really pleased FGW has listened to representations and pulled the rabbit out of the hat, going the extra mile to restore a more regular service."
The service had been reduced to one an hour following recent flooding and damage to the rail infrastructure at Dawlish, limiting the number of trains able to operate east of Dawlish.
