Great Western Railway Partners with NME to bring festival fans free music playlists
Great Western Railway (GWR) is excited to announce a partnership with music publication NME for the 2016 festival season, offering specially chosen playlists for five festivals across the GWR network.
An online hub #TracksOnTheTrack (https://www.gwr.com/tracksonthetrack) features Spotify playlists with music recommendations for the festivals chosen by NME journalists and popular bloggers.
Inspiration for the top 20 recommendations were shared by four of NME’s journalists: Dan Stubbs, Sam Moore, Luke Morgan Britton and David Renshaw.
GWR is also delighted to work with UK lifestyle bloggers to get their view of the top acts to see in the flesh this year as well as share any festival memories of their own.
Olivia Jade from Dungarees and Donuts, Paula Norris from The LDN Diaries, Ed Lemont from This Discerning Man, Leanne Morgan from The Dress Diaries and Rosie Tapping from A Rosie Outlook all contributed to the selection in #TracksOnTheTrack.

Starting with the Glastonbury Festival, GWR will provide 50 additional rail services between Wednesday 22 June and Monday 27 June. A guide to the least in demand rail services will be published soon. Festival goers are advised to book on early trains for the most comfortable journey and to travel light – there is a bus service to take music lovers from the station to the festival site, and luggage space is limited.
