First Great Western is to run 10 additional trains this coming Sunday [Sunday 4 May] to help spectators cheer on Exeter Chiefs as they take on Harlequins, kick off at 14.00.

Six additional pre-match trains will carry fans to Digby and Sowton station, just 10 minutes walk from Sandy Park, while an additional four services are being provided to take supporters home.

Additional services will operate from both Exmouth and Exeter St Davids to Digby and Sowton.

Station Manager for Digby and Sowton Melanie Harvey said:

“With Quins standing fifth in the premiership I’m sure this home game, over the extended Bank Holiday weekend, will prove popular.

“While our friendly and approachable staff will be on hand to help keep people moving as they pass through the station, I would urge customers to allow time for their journeys, as a queuing system may be required to allow passengers to board trains in safety.”
