Rail and bus operators to launch new service to save money on entry to World Heritage Site
Great Western Railway has teamed up with Blenheim Palace and two local bus companies to offer travel and reduced cost entry to the World Heritage site in a single transaction from tomorrow, Friday 10 March.
Ticket holders will be able to travel by train to Oxford station and use either the 500 or S3 bus service to Blenheim palace on the same ticket, while also saving as much as a fifth on the price of travel and entry to Blenheim Park and Gardens.
Those wishing to travel from Oxford itself can buy a bus ticket and entry to the palace from GWR (at ticket offices only) for £21.95 per person, saving £7.75.
Those travelling from further afield can purchase the rail element, connecting bus service and entry to Sir Winston Churchill’s former home in one transaction.
Off-Peak day return tickets are available across the GWR network to Oxford. Visit the World Heritage site from:
- Reading from just £32.50
- Worcester Foregate Street from just £40.50
- Bristol Temple Meads from just £44.50
- Swindon from just £32.50

Buses are available every 30 minutes from Oxford Railway Station and take approximately 40 minutes.
