Bestselling Bristol author set for high speed book signing
C. L. Taylor will be signing copies of her latest thriller on-board a Great Western Railway (GWR) service from Bristol to London Paddington on Tuesday 10 April 2018.
GWR has teamed-up with the Sunday Times bestselling author C. L. Taylor to offer passengers the chance to buy signed copies of her latest book, titled ‘The Fear’.
The 11:00 GWR service from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington will play host to the 125mph book signing.
This is a first for C. L. Taylor who is looking forward to meeting passengers on-board the GWR Intercity Express Train (IET) that takes a little over an hour and a half to travel from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington. The service will call at Bath Spa, Chippenham, Swindon and Reading before arriving into London at 12:38.
C. L. Taylor said:
“I've travelled from Bristol to London hundreds of times over the last seven years and I'm so excited to be involved in such an innovative and unusual book signing on a route I know so well. For me books and trains go hand in hand. If I'm not staring out of the window and coming up with ideas for a new thriller then I've got my nose in a paperback. I can't wait to meet my fans and share such an unusual and exciting experience with them.”
After arriving into London Paddington, Cally Taylor will be in the First Class Lounge on platform 1 to offer more people the opportunity to grab a signed copy of her book and meet her.
David Crome, Head of On-board services for GWR, said:
“We’re thrilled to be hosting C. L. Taylor on-board our Intercity Express Train. We’re always looking at new ways to enhance our on-board experience for customers and encourage the enjoyment of travelling by train.”
Two lucky people will have the opportunity to win First Class travel on the service by following the GWR Twitter account @GWRHelp and take part in a competition to win return tickets and signed copies of the book as well as meeting the author.
